Long Branch Trail (1.7 mi) runs from Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, through Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, under Business 40, to Salem Creek Greenway. This 10 foot wide paved greenway is a safe route for walking and biking through Winston-Salem. Its Southern connection to Salem Creek Greenway gives users the opportunity to bike from downtown Winston-Salem to Salem Lake and back. Opened in spring of 2018 this greenway follow an old railbed and provides both recreation and transportation options in the city.
