The Ramseur section of the Deep River State Trail winds through a hardwood forest on the banks of the Deep River. This beautiful trail is perfectly shaded in Summer. The trail is accessible from two trailheads:
PARKING:
Western trailhead at 5960 US 64. The trail runs East for 0.65 miles until it reaches Harlan Creek where the community is still working to raise the funds for a bridge.
PARKING:
The parking for the Eastern trailhead is found at 728 Liberty Street, Ramseur. From here walk down the Liberty Street hill and the trail begins on the right. This trail reaches West for 0.53 miles until running into Harlan Creek again. It also features the remaining structures from an old cotton mill.
