The Deep River State Trail Franklinville Section is a beautiful 1.75 miles of wide crushed gravel trail that is great for walking as well as biking. Passing by the old grist mill and textile factory, the Deep River State Trail in Franklinville highlights the river's importance to industry in small town North Carolina. The trail journeys through Riverside Park, passes by Deep River Fabricators, and into a peaceful forest as it heads South toward Ramseur. Consider adding the connecting Faith Rock Trail to your hike for an additional 0.75 miles. See map in photos.

Local communities are working hard to connect this trail both North to the Randleman section of the Deep River State Trail and South to the Ramseur section of the Deep River State Trail.

The trail has three access points with parking:
Western Trailhead:
1306 Andrew Hunter Dr, Franklinville, NC 27248
Mid:
163 W Main St, Franklinville, NC 27248
Eastern Trailhead:
435 Rising Sun Way, Franklinville, NC 27248

Love this trail. A good work out. Beautiful scenery. A popular trail. Fishing along the river bank. Picnic shelter. New playground for kids.
